Magic Matt is an illusionist whose work goes far beyond traditional magic.
His performances are about perception, connection, and creating moments of shared wonder — whether on a theatrical stage or in an intimate, close-up setting. When Matt came to me, he was clear that he wanted his brand to reflect that depth. He wasn’t interested in familiar magician tropes or novelty visuals; he wanted an identity that felt elevated, immersive, and true to the experience he creates for his audiences.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
The creative challenge became how to visually express illusion without illustrating it literally.
The solution centered on distortion — bending what feels familiar just enough to make you pause. A black-and-white wave motif became the foundation of the system, paired with a vintage-inspired wordmark that was subtly warped to echo altered perception. To balance the theatrical elements, we introduced an iconic illustrated mark of Matt himself, grounding the brand in personality and presence. The result is a bold, cohesive identity that feels intriguing, modern, and unmistakably his — inviting audiences into the magic without ever spelling it out.
